Passionate about being an instrument of the Holy Spirit.
Meet Muriel
Hi, I am Muriel.
Thank you for visiting my site today.
I’m originally from Côte d’Ivoire in West Africa.
I studied theology at Heythrop College, University of London, a Jesuit-led theological and philosophical college in the heart of London (now closed), where I graduated with a BA (Hons) in Theology and a Master’s in Canon Law.
Church Ministry
My professional ministry began as a catechetical coordinator, working as the first point of contact for Catholics and non-Catholics approaching the Church for the sacraments, faith building and pastoral support. This role involved creating, managing, and leading parish sacramental and catechetical programmes, spiritual and faith-formation initiatives, training volunteers and catechists to be confident in exercising their ministry, and providing administrative and pastoral support to priests.
Over the past 20 years, my work has centred on teaching the Catholic faith, forming moral conscience, providing spiritual guidance, and accompanying people on their faith journeys — children and their parents (helping parents pass on their faith), teenagers, new parents, adults reconnecting with faith or seeking faith, and engaged couples preparing for catholic marriage.
Faith at Work in the Economic World
Alongside parish ministry, I also worked for Caritas, a RC worldwide organisation, as a Business Programme Manager supporting business start-ups with a social impact. My role included designing and delivering two formation pathways: one supporting individuals with an initial idea to develop it into a viable business within six months, and another for those already trading who needed support to strengthen and scale.
What drew me to this work was the opportunity to exercise my lay apostolate by engaging directly with the world of economics and business.
How I can help
BASIC Coaching
Personal formation using core life skills to develop the human capacities required to function well within oneself and with others, and to live the faith responsibly in the world.
I’m an accredited life coach and a Senior Member of the accredited body ACCPH. In line with my work to promote the lay apostolate, I offer the following three types of coaching:
Bridging-the-Gap Coaching
Do you feel stranded in your faith? You know what to believe, yet don’t know how it should shape your Monday morning. Close the gap between faith and life.
Marriage Capacity-Building
A strong marriage doesn’t happen by chance. This coaching focuses on building the human and relational capacities required for a healthy, stable, and faithful Catholic marriage.
