A summary on the Lay Apostolate in Lumen Gentium
PAGE 2 LG 9–13, 33
— And that means you have a mission
The Council begins by describing the Church as the People of God, a people gathered by the Father, united in Christ, and led by the Holy Spirit.
And then it says something essential:
Every member of this people shares in Christ’s mission.
This means your apostolate doesn’t come from a role or a title.
It comes from your baptism.
You are part of a people sent into the world — not to hide your faith, but to let it shine in the ordinary places where God has planted you.
