In singleness
Fear of being alone can distort discernment.
Desperate search for happiness can weaken clarity.
Ask yourself:
When I feel wanted, do I lower my standards?
When I feel alone, do I act from fear?
Emotional steadiness protects dignity.
Relationships and marriage test and reveal your emotional regulation skills.
When criticised, do I:
Attack
Withdraw
Become cold
Break down
Ask yourself:
Would I feel safe married to someone who reacts like I do?
In relationships / marriage
At work & in leadership
Under pressure, do I:
Become controlling?
Become defensive?
Avoid responsibility?
Seek validation?
Ask yourself:
If my influence increased tomorrow, would my emotional structure hold?
Faith-life integration
When emotionally unsettled, do I:
Withdraw from prayer?
Justify myself?
Blame others?
Or do I:
Pray for calm and serenity
Meditate to understand
Turn to Scriptures for answers
And surrender to the Will of God
Self-denial requires emotional endurance.
